What we collect
When you send an inquiry through this website we receive your first and last name, your email address, the check-in and check-out dates you chose, and anything you write in the notes box. Your phone number is optional — we only receive it if you choose to fill it in.
How the inquiry form works
The form is delivered to us by Web3Forms, which passes your submission on to our email inbox. To keep out automated spam, the form also uses hCaptcha. Both are third-party services, so your submission passes through their systems on the way to us.
Government-issued ID
Once we confirm your dates, we ask for a damage deposit and one piece of government-issued photo ID. The ID has a single purpose: confirming that the person booking is the person staying. It is held in a secure location, is never shared with or sold to anyone, and is permanently deleted one month after you check out.
How long we keep your information
Your ID is deleted one month after check-out, as described above. Inquiry and booking emails are kept in our email account for as long as we need them to answer your questions, manage your stay, and keep our own booking records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. The only third parties involved are the services described above that carry your form submission to us.
Tracking and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website — which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are in the world, and what kind of device they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to recognize repeat visits. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not use this data to identify individual people. Our pages also load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google's servers when a page opens.
Asking to see or delete your information
Email book@janionrentals.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, or delete it, and confirm once it is done.
