Housing for Nurses
A furnished studio in downtown Victoria, rented by the month, for nurses, doctors, and medical staff on contract, on locum, or new to the city. No furniture to buy, no utilities to set up, and nobody to share a kitchen or a bathroom with. Rent covers heat, electricity, water, and internet, and every suite has its own kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.
Getting to Work
The building is at 456 Pandora Ave, in the middle of downtown, which is where most of Victoria’s bus routes converge. Royal Jubilee Hospital is 9 minutes by car or 22 minutes by bus. Victoria General is further out at 18 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bus.

In-suite Laundry for Scrubs
Every suite has its own standalone washer and dryer, plus a clothes iron. Scrubs go straight in the machine when you get home — no shared laundry room, no waiting for a machine, no hauling a bag down the street, and no putting a contaminated uniform in with anyone else’s washing.
For anyone working rotating shifts, that matters more than it sounds. You can run a load at 3am if that is when your day ends.
Somewhere to Sleep After a Night Shift
Every suite has blackout blinds and adjustable lighting, and the building has quiet hours between 9PM and 8AM. Each studio is self-contained, so nobody else’s schedule runs through your space.
If stairs and elevators at the end of a twelve-hour shift are the last thing you want, Harbor Studio is on the ground floor. Modern Studio and Corner Studio are on the second floor and Sky Studio is on the fourth, all with elevator access.
Full Kitchen
Each suite has a full kitchen — fridge, freezer, stovetop, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, with pots, pans, cutlery, and knives already there. Cooking a real meal at the end of a shift beats another takeaway, and it costs a great deal less over a month.
Fast Internet
All four suites run at 100 Mbps over Wi-Fi, and each one also has a wired Ethernet connection. Internet is included in the rent.
Shared Spaces in the Building
The fifth floor is the building’s common area: an indoor kitchen with couches and a dining table, and an outdoor dining area with a BBQ on the same floor. There is also a gym in the building, which is worth having when your hours make a class schedule impossible.
All of these spaces are shared with everyone else in the building.
Cafés, Restaurants, and Groceries Nearby
Bean Around the World, La Roux Patisserie, Union Pacific, Hey Happy, Habit, and St. Cecilia are all close by, and that is before the ones you will find by wandering a couple of blocks in any direction.
Most of the city’s best restaurants are within walking distance, and so are plenty of grocery stores — enough that you can shop for the week without a car.
The rest of downtown Victoria is on the doorstep too: boutiques, bookstores, malls, and everything else the centre of the city has to offer.
